The main purposes of the Stay Safe Development group are:
• To identify the priorities for action within the children’s and adults
safeguarding agenda on behalf of both the Children’s and Adults
Safeguarding Boards;
• To support the development aspect of the Leicester Children and
Adults Safeguarding Board business plan;
• To support the priorities identified in the Children and Young
People’s Plan of the Children’s Trust and oversee the
implementation of most of the safeguarding actions which are
agreed within the priorities set out in the Children and Young
People’s Plan;
• To consider recommendations from children’s and adults serious
case reviews and other reviews/audits of practice;
• To offer relevant service providers/user networks the opportunity to
raise significant issues about particular aspects of current practice;
• To share and disseminate learning in the field of adults and
children’s safeguarding across the wider workforce.
