The main purpose of the Safeguarding Effectiveness Group (SEG) is to
ensure on behalf of the LSCB that work on safeguarding in a multi-agency
context is robust and effective. It strives to do this in a number of ways by:
- providing quality assurance of LSCB sub-group work and SCR & SILP action plans
- co-ordinating safeguarding audits
- ensuring the effectiveness of safeguarding training
- monitoring agreed performance indicators, risk management and data
- assessing the effectiveness of the LSCB
